A Day In The Life as an Apprentice at Madison Logic
Tahmida Ahmed, Campaign Manager Apprentice at Madison Logic’s London Office
Why did you choose an Apprenticeship over University?
The reason I chose to do an apprenticeship over University was because I believed it was a great opportunity to develop and grow within a real working environment. The experience with LDN Apprenticeships and working in Madison Logic (ML) as a Campaign Manager Apprentice has been extremely valuable for me. Having work experience is becoming more and more important and admired by employers when hiring and this is primarily what an Apprenticeship is designed for; providing young people with real life work experience, whilst studying and gaining a qualification at the end of it.
How is your experience as an Apprentice at Madison Logic?
As ML has grown significantly throughout the pandemic it is clear to see the wide range of new hires including Apprentices. Working at Madison Logic as an Apprentice has been valuable in both personal and work progression. I have been training on the job and also off the job including research tasks, projects and online learning which has enabled me to grow within the Digital Marketing sector whilst working on my day to day role as a Campaign Manager at ML. This has been one of the main strengths of the Apprenticeship scheme; while I work in Operations, I study and learn modules on marketing, coding, google analytics and more, thus exposing me to a greater angle of my chosen qualification; Digital Marketing. On and off the job training and growth has enabled me at the end of my apprenticeship to be certified and qualified to take forward my particular role and qualification.
Would you recommend the Apprenticeship route?
I strongly believe schools need to openly talk about Apprenticeships as a possibility of choice and cease students into believing and normalising that university is the only option to career success. I would highly recommend the apprentice route to employers looking to hire best young talent who can offer a new dynamic to the company and also for young people as another option for looking to succeed in their chosen industry. I’ve seen many times a young adult with experience offering much more to a company than a young adult with a certificate in their name.
