Erik Matlick
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Matlick guides corporate strategy and vision at Madison Logic bringing over 15 years in founding, board and executive management experience. As an online performance marketing pioneer, Erik's strategic insight from the media operations, ad serving technology and sales/marketing arena are the driving force behind what makes Madison Logic unique.
Prior to founding Madison Logic, Mr. Matlick was the President and Founder of IndustryBrains which he sold to Marchex in July of 2005. Erik created hundreds of strategic partnerships with media companies including McGraw-Hill, Time Inc., Ziff-Davis Media, IDG Media, Forbes, and CNet. Prior to IndustryBrains, he also founded MediaBrains, a reader service and buyers guide provider to premium publishers and served as an Ad Sales Manager for Ziff-Davis Publishing where he was responsible for ad sales at PC Computing and Windows Sources Magazines. He holds a B.S. in Marketing from the Syracuse University School of Management. Mr. Matlick is also on the Board of Advisors of Tynt, one of the top 10 data collectors on the web, Smart Device Media, a vertical mobile ad network, Metamorphic Ventures and Syracuse University Newhouse School. He has presented at many industry conferences and is frequently quoted in major media publications including Newsweek, Cnet and MediaPost.
Vin Turk
Co-Founder and Senior Vice President, Audience Development
As Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of Audience Development at Madison Logic, Vin is responsible for creating strategic data partnerships as well as guiding and growing the company's leading Business Intent initiatives. Vin brings over a decade of expertise in strategy and design of digital media platforms.
Prior to co-founding Madison Logic, Vin provided senior account strategy at IndustryBrains, successfully signing and building digital advertising programs for some of the largest technology organizations including Microsoft, Dell, EMC, and Intel. Before IndustryBrains, Vin engineered business continuity processes and disaster recovery solutions for the Department of Defense at Hanscom Airforce Base in Massachusetts.
Vin is an advisor to a number of Internet startups in New York City including Gliider and StoryDesk. Vin holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts.
Elke Wong
Senior Vice President of Client Operations & Talent
Elke Wong is the Senior Vice President of Client Operations & Talent at Madison Logic. She leads operational efforts of the company which includes Human Resources, Client Services and Privacy/Compliance Initiatives.
Ms. Wong is an experienced online media executive with over 10 years of demonstrated success in both start-up and established business environments. While her primary focus is operations, her skill set is balanced out by her diverse background in product management, market forecasting, & marketing. She works with customers to understand and clarify their needs and develops and brings high value products to market.
Elke joins Madison Logic from IndustryBrains, where she was co-founder and led Product & Marketing. During Elke’s tenure, the company grew its clients & revenues exponentially, contributing to IndustryBrains’ leadership position in the online B2B performance space. The company was acquired by Marchex, Inc. in 2005. Prior to IndustryBrains, Ms. Wong was an Account Specialist at MediaBrains, managing buyers guide platforms for business publishers.
Prior to MediaBrains, Ms. Wong started her career at DoubleClick, creating integrated ad programs for clients such as Loreal, SONY, BMG and Random House. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the State University of New York, Binghamton.
Mark Herschberg
Chief Technology Officer
Educated at MIT (with degrees in physics, EE/CS, and a masters in cryptography) Mark has spent his career growing and fixing new ventures at startups, Fortune 500s, and academia.
Past products have included a wireless application platform, online advertising, lead generation, digital media, OLAP, and a new software language. Mark was instrumental in launching ServiceLive.com Sears online home services labor market; he also helped fix NBCs online video marketplace (now Hulu.com). In academia Mark spent a year at Harvard Business School working with two finance professors to create the upTick system now used to teach finance at many of the top business schools. At MIT Mark helped to start the Undergraduate Practice Opportunities Program at which he teaches annually along with his teaching at SUNY’s Levin Institute. In his spare time Mark works with numerous non-profits and is on the advisory board of the museum of mathematics. He is also a former US ballroom champion.
Dennis Syracuse
Chief Marketing Officer & General Manager
Dennis Syracuse is a results-oriented retail and marketing executive with a multi-channel background including wholesale, retail, e-commerce, outlets, global, digital and technology.
As a passionate leader with experience in developing customer service programs, Dennis's expertise derives from team building and talent development, as well as P&L management. He creates a results driven, high performing culture, especially in startups and turn-arounds. Dennis’s broad marketing experience in strategy development and senior level decision making, brings improved value and effectiveness to marketing and strategic initiatives at Madison Logic.
Thomas Koletas
Senior Vice President, Advertising Sales
Thomas Koletas joins Madison Logic with over 15 years of sales and executive experience and is responsible for managing all sales and revenue generating initiatives on behalf of Madison Logic's publisher, agency and advertiser clients.
Most recently, Mr. Koletas served as VP of Advertising Sales at Giant Realm, where he helped shape the sales strategy of the New York-based entertainment portal/ad network geared toward video games, sci-fi and independent movies and music. Before Giant Realm, Tom was head of sales at Imaginova Networks, where he implemented the advertising sales strategy, as well as managed the national online ad sales and account management teams. Prior to joining Imaginova, he was Vice President of Advertising for IndustryBrains, a pioneer in the search and contextual advertising market. There, he was instrumental in growing the company from start-up mode to its acquisition by Marchex, Inc., a publicly traded company specializing in vertical and local search marketing. Earlier in his career, Tom held senior sales positions at TheStreet.com and Ziff Davis, and is an advisor to many companies in the media and direct response area of digital marketing. Tom attended Denison University.
Mike Burton
Vice President, Platform Sales
Mike leads the platform sales and account management team for Madison Logic. His team currently works with over 450 media companies, associations and data companies who are successfully leveraging the Madison Logic suite of tools in order to drive revenue and streamline their lead gen operations.
Previous to leading Madison Logic's platform team, Mike was a senior director at Collective, where he managed their reach extension business. In this role, Mike helped premium and local publishers, along with data companies to scale their ad sales offerings. Before joining Collective, Mike was the VP of Advertising Sales at Madison Logic. Mike started his career in online advertising at IndustryBrains, a business that was founded by Erik Matlick, Founder and CEO of Madison Logic. Mike was one of the first employees at IndustryBrains, and an integral part of the growth that resulted in the company's sale to Marchex in 2005.
Robert Armstrong
Vice President, Product Management
Rob has a rich background in digital advertising technology, having served in product management leadership positions since 2009.
Rob pioneered the industry's first campaign management APIs to DoubleClick's DFA6 & Microsoft's Atlas ad serving platforms while working for Donovan Data Systems. Rob then joined the startup scene beginning with DoubleVerify, the industry's first ad verification solution for display, video, and mobile advertising. There, Rob led the company's rollout of a self-serve UI platform and managed the Client Reporting & Insights team. Then, Rob joined a newly formed startup, AdFin Solutions, as the 2nd employee after the CEO. At AdFin, Rob ran Product & Marketing, building the company's brand, pitch materials, and product offering from scratch. Rob hails from Atlantic City and holds a Journalism degree from Washington & Lee University.
Mark Chowdhury
Vice President, Finance
Mark Chowdhury leads finance, strategic planning, treasury and investor relations at Madison Logic. Mark has over 15 years of experience in leadership roles which included business and financial management, new businesses development support, investor reporting, compliance, executing turnaround/ restructuring strategies for US and international companies primarily engaged in online and mobile advertising, retail and media.
Prior to Madison Logic Mark was the Vice President, Controller at Rakuten LinkShare, US subsidiary of a publicly held Japanese e-commerce company. In his role Mark developed the strategic plan for international expansion, executed due diligence for new business acquisition and joint venture in addition to leading global accounting, finance, treasury and tax compliance for companies in US, UK, Australia, Japan, and Hong Kong.
Mark holds a Master of Science degree in Finance from Adelphi University. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Economics from Oklahoma State University. Mark is a Certified Public Accountant.
